Membership Benefits
Legislative Advocacy
WCLA was formed to ensure that all sizes of licensee cannabis businesses in Washington have a real seat at the table in Olympia. Our full-time lobbyist works directly with legislators, regulators, and the Governor's office to advance policy that protects independent operators and creates room for sustainable growth. We focus on issues that matter to the licensees who built this market, not just those with the deepest pockets.
Member Engagement & Political Access
We believe in the power of personal relationships. WCLA members engage directly with lawmakers and agency leaders to educate them on the realities of running a cannabis business in Washington. Through coordinated meetings, advocacy days, and direct member outreach, we're building lasting connections that influence policy and elevate the voice of responsible license holders across the state.

Public Relations & Industry Messaging
WCLA helps shape the narrative around Washington's cannabis industry. Whether it's correcting misinformation, highlighting small business innovation, or pushing back on damaging corporate narratives, we work to ensure that the public and policymakers understand the value of a diverse, locally owned cannabis market. Our messaging reflects the professionalism and integrity of our members.
Events & Community Building
WCLA hosts a variety of formal and informal events throughout the year, including policy briefings, member strategy sessions, social gatherings, and meet-and-greets with public officials. These events are designed to connect members, share knowledge, and expand our collective influence while fostering a genuine sense of community in a competitive industry.
